The Prime Minister inaugurated today on behalf of the president Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the 48th edition of Cairo International Book Fair, with the presence of the ministers of culture and Religious Endowments, Moroccan Culture Minister who's country is the Guest of honor for this year, in addition of a number of foreign Ambassadors and a large group of writers and thinkers as well.
The Fair which is held under the theme of "Youth and future culture", is being organized under the auspices of president Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and will last till February 10th,2017 with the participation of 35 countries and a total of 670 publishers.
It is also notable that the late Egyptian poet Salah Abd AlSabour was chosen to be the year person for the current edition of the fair.
In a press conference, Ismail highlighted the importance of the fair in enriching culture and providing a variety of publications in different fields of culture, knowledge and science to the public, in addition to the activities and seminars that will be organized on the sidelines in the presence of many Intellectuals.
Prime minister also presented his condolences for the loss of Egyptian poet Said Hijab who passed away yesterday, evaluating his contributions to the field of poetry and literature.
During his tour in different pavilions, the Prime Minister expressed his appreciation to the quality and variety of books and publications of various cultures and trends.
