Excellencies Ministers

Ladies and Gentlemen,

First of all, I would like to say welcome to all of you in Egypt.

I have the honor to be with you today to participate in work of ministerial conference on "executing the sustainable development  agenda 2030 in the Arab countries" and that's, with  regard to the social dimensions … I made sure to participate in this conference, not only for the importance of the topic, but also to emphasize Egypt's interest in the sustainable development, in coordinating with Arab brothers under the great challenges facing the Arab regions, on the economic, social and political sides.

I would like to thank the United Nations Development Programme for its concrete support to Egypt and the Arab common action and to confirm necessity of continuing cooperation and coordinating with the programme and with the all organizations members of the United Nations Development Group and thus contributing to speed up the development and achieve the interest of the Arab citizen.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The sustainable development issue is a high priority for Egypt. So on that basis the government prepared "The Sustainable Development Strategy 2030" which represents a road map for the Egyptian development benefiting from Egypt's potential and its competitive advantages.

The ambitious plan aims at the involvement of the Egyptian people in the development process through an operative partnership and empowerment of civil society and the parliament to follow up and monitor the implementation of the strategy, and consequently the government made its programme in the frame work of the strategy.

The preparation of this plan is based on the existing possibilities, and we took into consideration the current and future development, and we will benefit from the international experiences and cooperation with the Arab and international bodies. So, that will reflect positively on the Egyptian citizen.

Ministry of Planning, Follow-Up And Administrative Reform will display a summary view about the strategy and I hope to open discussions on the strategy which enrich it and support the implementation process

Ladies and Gentlemen,

It is necessary to clarify the Arab vision to execute the sustainable development agenda 2030, taking into account the difficult conditions and enormous challenges facing the region .and to be able to deal with these challenges, we must work under one framework and united Arab goals. Egypt, as the president said in his speech during the conference, promotes the Arab common action and works in close cooperation and continued coordination with Arab brothers to realize solidarity and Arab unit, and to enable our people to live in stability and security.

Participating in this conference with colleague ministers came to emphasize this solidarity, we earnestly hope in the Arab youth that we have to qualify in front of these massive challenges; I can't miss talking about the Arab women and her support role in the development process. We will help vulnerable groups to be an effective element in the development process, we affirm the need to integrate the persons with disabilities, guarantee their rights and benefit from their capabilities.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I'd like to take this opportunity to express grateful thanks to H.E.Dr. Nabil El Arabi, Secretary General of Arab States league who led the Arab common action in a critical period and unprecedented challenges so all thanks for him.

At the end of my speech I would like to thank President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, as the conference was held under his auspices, and all persons contributed to the preparations for this important conference, which we hope to result in good results to achieve what we are looking forward which is A comprehensive and sustainable development to promote the dignity of the Arab citizen.
